PUG publishes a newsletter containing news from Pedigree Software and articles written by Pedigree users to help other users. It also maintains an Internet email list for exchange of ideas and help for other users, as well as the most up to date news from Pedigree Software.

The Pedigree Users Group web site allows existing users to download the latest versions of each of the standard databases supplied with Pedigree, PediTree and GEDCOM utilities. These are Elton55 v1101 and Royal03 v0307. Only the demo version of PediTree can be downloaded from the link below.

Utilities

PedSpecs.exe v3.203 for Windows is for displaying and printing specifications of Pedigree's data dictionary, picture script language and report definitions, from each of the databases that the user may have changed the design of.

PedClone is a Windows utility for copying report or table designs from one Pedigree database to another.

GEDutils v7.203 Windows utility program (included with PediTree) is for converting other FHS GEDCOM files for import to Pedigree and for converting 1881 census CDROM RTF files into GEDCOM for PediTree. It can also convert ASCII text files into GEDCOM for import as Source records. GEDutils can also split a full Pedigree export into a file together with related Source and Census records based on a descendant or ancestor plan or a list filtered on any criteria in the data.

Ped-FHS v2.6 utility program for converting a Pedigree exported GEDCOM 4 file into GEDCOM 5.5 for other Family History Systems. Ped-FHS is supplied free with PediTree and the manual. PediTree is supplied with Elton55.ped to export GEDCOM v5.5 files.
