BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS VERSION, OPEN PEDITREE TO LOOK AT THE COPYRIGHT DATE IN YOUR NAME & ADDRESS PANEL. IF IT IS 2011 OR 2010, THEN CONTINUE WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS. IF 2009 OR EARLIER, THEN YOU NEED TO PAY £11 FOR A NEW CD OR £10 FOR WEB ONLY.

If you have received the password from Pedigree Software, then click on this link and Save the .exe file to c:\pedigree. Then you can Run it and extract to c:\pedigree
It is a PediTree Update Setup Wizard .exe containing these files (no longer a zip.exe, as this caused problems in Windows 7):

• PediTree.exe
• PediTree.chm
• DB32.DLL
• PediTree.css (cascading style sheet for web output)
• Elton55.ped (with 3 new HTM scripts for web output)
• Elton55.exe (for reloading the above folder if necessary

PediTree should not be open when running the installer.

Note the filename is pt3334.exe, not ptupdate.exe, with the intention that you can more easily return to an older copy if you hit problems.

• Web output changes:
  • Option to disguise names of living persons.
  • Links on Person pages may now display further details when the cursor hovers over them.
  • The bottom of Chart pages no longer overwritten when posted on the RootsWeb site.
• Occasional failure to obey option-settings on auto back-up OK.
